'चयन समिति ने ब्लंडर कर दिया', वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ पुजारा को बाहर करने पर फूटा लोगों का गुस्सा

स्पोर्ट्स डेस्क : विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप में भारत के तीसरे सबसे अधिक रन बनाने वाले खिलाड़ी और मध्य क्रम में सबसे भरोसेमंद क्रिकेटरों में से एक चेतेश्वर पुजारा को वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ आगामी विदेशी दौरे से बाहर कर दिया गया है। 

विशेष रूप से काउंटी चैम्पियनशिप में ससेक्स के लिए खेलते हुए 35 वर्षीय खिलाड़ी ने छह मैचों में 545 रन बनाए और इस प्रकार उन्होंने डब्ल्यूटीसी फाइनल 2023 में रोहित शर्मा की अगुवाई वाली टीम के लिए एक बड़ी भूमिका निभाने की उम्मीद थी। बल्लेबाज बड़े पैमाने पर विफल रहा और दोनों पारियों में क्रमशः 14 और 27 रन बनाए। 

भारत अंततः 209 रन से मैच हार गया और हालात के अनुसार पुजारा को टीम में वापस आने के लिए वास्तव में कड़ी मेहनत करनी होगी। विशेष रूप से राजकोट में जन्मे बल्लेबाज ने 103 टेस्ट मैचों में राष्ट्रीय टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और इस दौरान 7195 रन बनाए। एक समय ऐसा लग रहा था कि उन्हें बाहर नहीं किया जा सकता लेकिन ऐसा लगता है कि डब्ल्यूटीसी फाइनल में उनके प्रदर्शन ने उन्हें बाहर किए जाने में बड़ी भूमिका निभाई। उनके बाहर होने के बाद लोगों की प्रतिक्रियाएं सामने आई हैं जो इस प्रकार हैं-

Cheteshwar Pujara has been dropped from the Indian Test team, Rituraj Gaikwad or Yashasvi Jaiswal may get a chance to replace him. BCCI will never desist from its old antics. First you drop Rahane from the Test team, then after a few months you make him the vice captain.

Dropping Cheteshwar Pujara from Tests is another blunder from the selection committee. Just one test match doesn't decide the player's real ability. Pujara has been back in the form in the last few series but the tradition of dropping one senior player is not new.#INDVSWI #India
